Issue
- There are 2 out-of-the-box fragments that support loading external videos:
- External Video
- Video URL
- Right now only a couple sites are supported, such as YouTube.
- When will the other sites, such as dailymotion, be supported?
Environment
- DXP 7.4
Resolution
-
However, I checked what these fragments do and to me, it seems that they load the original YouTube player in an
iframe
.
From what I saw on Dailymotion videos' pages, the share button generates this HTML:
I tested this in a fragment and it worked as expected. So as long as you create or modify the existing fragment to generate this for you, you can use it<div style="position:relative;padding-bottom:56.25%;height:0;overflow:hidden;">
<iframe style="width:100%;height:100%;position:absolute;left:0px;top:0px;overflow:hidden" frameborder="0" type="text/html" src="https://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x8m4skj?autoplay=1" width="100%" height="100%" allowfullscreen title="Dailymotion Video Player" allow="autoplay">
</iframe>
</div> -
There is also a feature request open to implement this:
