Issue
- When trying to import a LAR file, the following error message is being displayed in the UI:
There are missing references that could not be found in the current environment. Please import the following elements first.
Document: welcome_bg.jpg (referenced by a model.resource.com ....)
Environment
- DXP 7.3
Resolution
- First try removing the “Home” Page from your export.
-
If for some reason it doesn't work, the solution would be to disable the validation of missing references prior to the import, and this can be achieved by performing the following:
- Go to Control Panel --> Configuration --> System Settings --> Infrastructure --> Export/Import
- Find the option "Validate Missing References" and uncheck it.
Using this option can lead to inconsistencies, and you should always try to import without it first. If you see missing reference errors, you should take notes of these, before unchecking this option.
