Google Authorization Removal in Liferay DXP 7.2

The Google Authorization module can be used to create a single sign-on (SSO) implementation with Google accounts based on the OpenID standard. The module is deprecated and was removed from the release of Liferay DXP 7.2. A final version of the module compatible with Liferay DXP 7.2 will be released as a Marketplace app.

The Google Authorization module has been replaced by the OpenID Connect module. SSO integrations previously utilizing Google Authorization should migrate to OpenID Connect or OAuth2.0. If you need to use the Google Authorization module with DXP 7.2 and the Marketplace app is not yet available, please open a support ticket in order to request the app. The Google Authorization module has been made available to customers, however, issues reported concerning the app will be resolved on a case-by-case basis.
