Workflow metrics not loading

Issue

  • When I go to Menu -> Workflow -> Metrics, I get error message "There was a problem retrieving the data. Please try reloading the page".
  • (I might have done some operations about the environment before, like switching from one update version to another)

  • 7.4

Resolution

  • We are not sure what exactly causes this, but from our experience so far we can say that it could be related to the Elasticsearch server and its configuration. 
  • Please double-check your Elasticsearch setup/configuration for the affected environment
  • If you are using the built-in search server (sidecar), these troubleshooting steps might help:

1) Shut down portal

2) Delete the complete elasticsearch6 folder from \liferay.home\data folder

3) Start the portal and perform a full reindex.
