Can we configure an internal email address to receive a copy of all Email Verification messages?

Issue

  • The Email Verification Notification message is sent to new Users when asked to verify their Email Address.
  • We would like to set up an internal email address, which would be added as a BCC on all Verification emails which are sent out for new user account creation.

 

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.0+

 

Resolution

  • Unfortunately, this setting is not available out of the box.

  • It is only possible to configure the Subject line and template of the Email Verification messages as described here: Email Verification Notification

The following options are available:

  1. Create a Feature Request ticket through Liferay Ask, requesting the inclusion of this setting. Please note that our Product Team makes the final decision about whether a feature will be implemented and it can only be added to future Liferay versions or updates.
  2. You can add a customization to your Liferay environment to include this functionality. Assistance with the implementation of such a custom solution can be requested from our Global Services team through your Customer Success representative.
  3. You can possibly configure your mail server to send BCC-s of these types of emails to a certain recipient.
