Language Modules Configuration Display template not working properly

Issue

• Language Selector shows same template, if user selects a different display template.

• Steps to reproduce:
  1. Start Liferay DXP 7.4.
  2. Create a widget page.
  3. Now, drop the 'language selector' widget on the page.
  4. Click on the actions button and change the display template to another one.
  Actual Results: It always displays the language selector portlet as an icon template irrespective of the user preference.
  Expected Results: It must show the widget according to the specified display template.

Environment

• Liferay DXP 7.4 

Resolution

• The observed behavior is a known Liferay DXP bug which has been addressed in Liferay DXP 7.4 Update 84.
