Performing a search from System or Instance Settings throws an error exception

Issue

  • When using the search bar in Control Panel for System Settings, Instance Settings, etc, an error exception is thrown and the UI presents the following message: “Portlet is temporarily unavailable" ”.

Environment

  • DXP 7.3

Resolution

  • The issue was addressed by LPS-188930 and was added to DXP as of 7.3 u29.
  • A hotfix can also be requested from Liferay Support containing this fix.
