Is it possible to edit a file using the Liferay service shell console?

Note: please note that Liferay has renamed its Liferay Experience Could offerings to Liferay SaaS (formerly LXC) and Liferay PaaS (formerly LXC-SM).

Issue

• When attempting to edit a file using commands like vim, vi, emacs, pico, or nano in Liferay PaaS, a "command not found" message appears.  

Environment

• Liferay PaaS

Resolution

• For simple edits, you can use tools like sed to replace text, or echo to overwrite a file.
