New User cannot log in to Cloud Console - The invitation link is invalid or expired

Note: please note that Liferay has renamed its Liferay Experience Could offerings to Liferay SaaS (formerly LXC) and Liferay PaaS (formerly LXC-SM).

Issue

  • Invited a new Admin User to access the Cloud Console
  • When the User clicks the invitation link an error is shown: "The invitation link is invalid or expired"

Environment

  • Liferay PaaS

Resolution

  • It could happen that the user received an invitation earlier but failed to accept it.
  • Instead of following the link in the email, go directly to console.liferay.cloud and log in there.
