Manually Installing Liferay Connector to SAML 2.0

Issue

• We need to manually install and/or update the Liferay Connector to SAML 2.0. This is primarily done for security reasons, such as a Liferay bundle being firewalled off the internet. 

Environment

• DXP 7.3

Resolution

• Steps to follow to manually install the Liferay Connector to SAML 2.0 plugin, after receiving the suitable and compatible version from your Customer Support Engineer.

1. Unzip LPKG File
2. Start up bundle
3. Drop contents of LPKG file into a Liferay/deploy folder
4. See terminal, the terminal should output a Processing message
5. Restart the bundle
6. Navigate to Control Panel > Gogo Shell
7. On the prompt, enter the following: lb | grep SAML
8. The SAML modules should have an 'Active' output
