Empty page when opening Content & Data > Forms

Issue

• After installing a hotfix, we see an empty page when navigating to Content & Data > Forms
• There is no error in the console or browser console

 

Environment

• Liferay DXP 7.4

 

Resolution

• This could be the result of faulty patching.
• Enter the Gogo shell and run the "lb" command, check the bundle versions for Liferay Dynamic Data Mapping Web.
• You might see different versions, for example:
  • Liferay Dynamic Data Mapping Web (5.0.70)
  • Liferay Dynamic Data Mapping Web (5.0.70.hotfix-xxxx-7413)
• You can stop and uninstall the older version using the Gogo shell, then restart the hotfix version

 

Additional Information

• When installing a hotfix, always use the latest available Patching Tool, which you can download from here: Downloads
• After installation, clean up the cache folders:
  1. Delete the $LIFERAY_HOME/osgi/state folder.
  2. Empty the $LIFERAY_HOME/Work folder
  3. Empty the $LIFERAY_HOME/tomcat-version/temp folder
  4. Empty the $LIFERAY_HOME/tomcat-version/work folder
