Issue
- After restoring a backup, the liferay service fails to start and the following error is reported:
rm: cannot remove '/opt/liferay/data/license/*': Permission denied
Environment
- Liferay PaaS
Resolution
- This error is usually reported when a backup fails to restore.
- To resolve it, follow these steps:
- In the backup service's LCP.json file, remove the dependency on the Liferay service.
- Deploy the changes.
- Perform a backup restore.
- Add again Liferay as a dependency for Backup.
- After the backup restore process, the Liferay service should start with no errors.
