Email address field has a limit of 75 characters in Channel Notification template

Issue

  1. Navigate to Channels -> Choose a channel -> Notification Templates

  2. Add a new template

  3. Fill in the required details

  4. Under Email Settings add a very long email address (more than 75 characters) in the "To" field

  5. Save the template

:check_mark: Expected Result: The template can be saved
:cross_mark: Actual Results: The template cannot be saved. You get an error in the logs:

Caused by: java.sql.BatchUpdateException: (conn=1148944) Data too long for column 'to_' at row 1

Resolution

  • A fix is available for this issue: COMMERCE-11938
  • You can open a ticket with Support to request a hotfix on your patch level.
