I cannot save Instance Settings with error: "Error: Your request failed to complete"


  • I added the following property to the portal-ext.properties file:
    # This sets the default web ID. Omniadmin users must belong to the company
    # with this web ID.
  • After doing this, I cannot save the changes to the Instance Settings.
  • The UI shows the error:
    Error: Your request failed to complete.
  • There are no errors in the logs.

  • The property company.default.web.id will allow you to set the default Web ID on the first launch.
  • After the initial startup, the Web ID is not designed to be changed in the future, as it is set to the company at this point.
  • Please comment this property, the default value is liferay.com.
  • Or set the property to the correct value.
