If you’re already using Liferay Developer Studio but need to update your environment, follow the steps below:

In Liferay Developer Studio, go to Help → Install New Software….

In the Work with field, copy in the URL http://releases.liferay.com/tools/ide/latest/stable/.

You’ll see the Developer Studio components in the list below. Check them off and click Next.
Figure 1: Make sure to check all the Developer Studio components you wish to install.

Accept the terms of the agreements. Click Next, and Developer Studio is updated. You must restart Developer Studio for the updates to take effect.
